The Blight
A strange infection known as "Blight Touched" due to the way on how it infects a host; consuming them with shadowy marking across their body, and even affecting their temperament. This phenomena is discovered during the time where there was mass abductions throughout Illuhare and caused by voidsent. There are many that are infected by the virus, having to live with their new ailments.
Blight, Blight Touched, Blight Infestation, "The Virus", are a few names that work interchangeably.
There has been no documented cures yet.

Contracting and effects of the blight:
The Blight virus appears to be transferable via saliva and blood contact. More recently wild Monsters have contracted the virus, and have odd behavioural patterns which includes; unstable temperament, lethargy, depression, aggression, mania.
Physical attributes of the virus include; foaming of the mouth, "Red Eyes", an unusual pigmentation of the skin from the bite that grows with time often consuming the body even after death (speculative). We fear however the virus itself is changing to suit it's environment, and those hosting the virus can pass undetected by mere sight.
Those who contract the virus are unable to reproduce or conceive. It is not recommended due to the instability of the virus affecting the host's disposition.
The virus doesn't discriminate a host; Monsters, Residents... all are viable to contract the virus and spread it.
At the beginning when the virus has a few hours or days to settle. It attacks the host at their nervous systems, shutting down their mobility and senses, akin to a vegetative like state. It is wise to seek out treatment from an apothecary or chirurgeon immediately after a "bite", but often those who suffer this ailment is best to be eradicated, and cremated rather than prolong their suffering.
Those infected with the virus in the early stage seem to be responsive to trusted ones, despite sudden violent outbursts. In the late stages however the victim spirals into mania, chanting odd words in their wake of the old gods.
It appears that the Blight gives interesting results in terms of battle...
