Impishuns are a bipedal race with a rich history spanning millennia on the world of Illuhare. Their ancestral records, documented in stories, hieroglyphs, art, and dance, chronicle their adventures across the islands. Highly intelligent and self-aware, they possess a level of sentience comparable to humans.
The exact origin of the Impishuns remains shrouded in some mystery. Popular theories suggest they may have migrated from the jungles and spread outwards over time. However, a captivating legend whispers of a more divine creation.
According to this myth, the Impishuns were brought forth by the goddess Hikissu. Following her sacrifice to protect Illuhare, fragments of her spine remained. Imbued with the sorrow of the other gods, these fragments were planted in the earth. After 100 days, the first Impishuns emerged from the soil, blinking into a world miraculously transformed from barrenness to lush greenery. This transformation was attributed to a magical blessing bestowed by the awakening goddess.
Today, Impishuns thrive alongside humans and other species. They seamlessly integrate into society, pursuing careers, exploring passions, and raising families, all while maintaining their rich cultural heritage.

Impishuns are distinctive individuals with unique physical attributes. Their hands and feet are clawed, resembling a bird’s but has a soft padding. They typically have 3-4 fingers on each hand, including a thumb, and their feet can have 3-5 toes. Though capable of quadrupedal movement, Impishuns prefer to stand upright, allowing for greater dexterity with their hands.
There is significant variation in Impishun appearance. Some individuals have fur and paws, while others have leathery skin and claws. These variations are categorized as "Paw Feet" (Terra subspecies) and "Bird Feet" (Raptor subspecies). While the chest is generally flat, subtle variations in muscular or fatty tissue, are possible for both genders.
Impishuns possess keen senses of smell, sight, and hearing. Their eyes often exhibit a tapetum-like quality, reflecting light in their unique "Soul Color." These vibrant colors can be found in their eyes, pads, palms, and internal organs, including blood, ears, and innards. The color may also extend to their mouth, particularly the tongue and gums.

The color of an Impishun's palms matches their eye color. For example, if their eyes are blue, their palms and soles will also be blue, including internal areas like the mouth, flesh, and inner ears.

In recent years, a cultural program has been established to revitalize Tii-Tiik. The program is open to all races, not just Impishuns, in an effort to preserve this unique language.

The peak of the flower blooming season in spring and summer is considered the Impishun New Year, a time for joyous celebration with family and friends in their home villages.
Impishuns demonstrate profound respect for nature. Before cutting or moving a tree, they offer prayers of apology and gratitude. Nothing from the felled tree is wasted, a practice contributing to their reputation for exceptional craftsmanship. Similarly, when hunting, Impishuns pray and utilize every part of the animal to honor its spirit.
While these ancient beliefs were once widespread, the influence of modernism and technology has led to a diversification of religious practices among Impishuns. While some cling to traditional ways, others have embraced new spiritual paths. There is growing concern about the potential decline of these cherished traditions.
