Often referred to as Mini, Miniature, or Roly-Poly, this Axehead breed is a popular household companion due to its enduring youthful appearance. Despite their smaller size, they retain the sturdy hide of their larger counterparts. Their short limbs allow them to curl into a protective ball, similar to a pillbug or armadillo, but many fall short of this too.

Mini Axeheads have gained popularity for their endearing looks and surprising patience, especially with children. The smallest recorded Mini is comparable in size to a grown Chihuahua.
