Soul Essence
Soul Essence and Soul Colour are essentially two ways of referring to the same thing: the manifestation of a creature's soul. This essence can be physically observed in various ways, depending on the species.
Soul Essence can also be present when casting runes and magic spells.

Identifying Soul Colour
- Residents and Monsters typically reveal their Soul Colour most prominently through their eye colour.
- If a creature has blue eyes, for instance, its Soul Colour will also be reflected in its paws, blood, mouth, and even scars. However, the intensity of the colour can vary in these areas.

Species Variations
- Each species expresses Soul Essence differently. For example, a Haiwari might have a Soul Colour displayed as a gem on its body, while a Papillix might have glowing pockets near its nose.
- It's crucial to consult the specific species profile to understand where to look for their Soul Essence.
✦ Customization ✦
Customization
While Soul Colour is typically evident in the eyes, some slight adjustments are acceptable for design purposes. Here are some examples:
-
- Paw pads might have a desaturated version of the Soul Colour.
- Scars and blood might exhibit a more saturated hue.
- The mouth might show a slight shift in hue or desaturation.
The Human Exception:
- Unlike other Residents and Monsters, humans are unique in how their Soul Colour manifests. While eye colour is the most common indicator. Their blood is always red, and internal organs come in various flesh tones, regardless of Soul Colour.
Remember: Always refer to the species profile to understand where to identify their Soul Essence. This will help you ensure your design accurately reflects their Soul Colour.
